V-Guard faces ₹7.72m GST demand from Gurgaon tax authorities

V-Guard Industries Limited announced today, December 24, 2025, that it has received a GST demand order from the Excise and Taxation Officer, Gurgaon (West) Ward 8. The order, dated December 23, 2025, pertains to the financial year 2018-19 and highlights a short payment of tax due to a mismatch between the tax liability as per E-Waybill and GSTR 3B in Haryana.

The total demand amounts to ₹77,20,327, comprising a tax component of ₹23,44,788, interest of ₹30,30,751, and a penalty of ₹23,44,788. The penalty imposed represents 100% of the tax liability.

V-Guard Industries Limited stated that it is currently evaluating the order and plans to take appropriate steps to challenge the demand.
