SMS Pharmaceuticals forms new wholly owned subsidiary SMS coLab

SMS Pharmaceuticals Limited today announced the incorporation of its wholly owned subsidiary, SMS coLab Private Limited, on December 23, 2025. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs approved the incorporation, with confirmation received by SMS Pharmaceuticals on December 24, 2025.

SMS coLab Private Limited has an authorized capital of INR 15,00,000 and a paid-up share capital of INR 1,00,000, consisting of 10,000 equity shares of INR 10 each. SMS Pharmaceuticals owns 100% of the equity stake in the new subsidiary, making it a wholly owned entity. Vamsi Krishna Potluri, executive director of SMS Pharmaceuticals, also serves as a director in SMS coLab Private Limited.

The new subsidiary will operate as a greenfield project to manufacture pharmaceutical products in new therapeutic categories. Its main objective includes research, development, formulation, marketing, production, and distribution of various pharmaceutical products, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and related equipment. SMS coLab Private Limited, incorporated in India, is yet to commence business operations.
