KPI Green secures NTPC green hydrogen project

KPI Green Energy Limited has received three Notification(s) of Award from NTPC Limited for a plasma gasification-based 'Green Hydrogen' generation project. This project, located at NETRA, NTPC Greater Noida, will utilize MSW-RDF / Agri-waste and will have a nominal capacity of 1 tonne per day.

The aggregate contract value for these awards is INR 128.49 crore (excluding GST). KPI Green's scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply of plant and equipment, transportation, erection, installation, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, civil and structural steel works, and two years of operation and maintenance.

This initiative marks KPI Green Energy’s first venture into the green hydrogen segment and represents an early deployment of plasma gasification technology for green hydrogen generation in India. The project strategically expands the company's renewable energy portfolio, which currently includes solar, wind, and hybrid power projects.
