J.B. Chemicals faces tax demand, plans appeal

J.B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Limited announced on December 24, 2025, that it has received an order from the Commercial Tax Officer, Tamil Nadu, regarding a tax demand of Rs. 37 lakhs. The demand stems from disallowance or mismatched input tax credit (ITC) during the FY 2018-19. The company clarified that there is no immediate impact on its financial, operational, or other activities as a result of this order.

The company maintains that it has a strong case on its merits and intends to file an appeal against the order. This disclosure was made in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
