LT Foods to expand regional rice production in Karnataka with new unit

LT Foods Limited is establishing a new manufacturing unit in Raichur, Karnataka, to enhance its regional rice portfolio, including Sona Masoori, Kolam, and Lachkari rice for South India. The new facility is projected to have an initial production capacity of 30,000 Metric Tons per annum.

Commercial production is expected to commence by February 2, 2026, subject to necessary approvals. This expansion represents a new capacity for producing finished goods and packed rice.

The total investment required for this project is an estimated INR 6 Crore, which will be financed through internal accruals. The company emphasized that this strategic move aims to strengthen its value chain for regional rice.
