Kalpataru Projects settles UAE Emiratization penalty, reactivates profile

Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL) announced on December 23, 2025, that its UAE branch office discharged a penalty of AED 284,000 imposed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization. The penalty, issued on October 28, 2025, was for alleged non-compliances related to Emiratization requirements.

The company stated that the payment was made on December 22, 2025, to ensure the reactivation of its profile on the Authority's portal. This action facilitates the seamless issuance of new work visas, as the Authority had ceased issuing new visas. KPIL had initially filed for a waiver, believing its branch office was compliant with Emiratization requirements, but opted to pay the penalty due to the Authority's stance on new work visas.
