Emami promoters increase pledged shareholdings with Bajaj Finance

Diwakar Finvest Private Limited, an Emami Limited promoter, has disclosed an increase in pledged shares. On December 19, 2025, Diwakar Finvest created an encumbrance of 500,000 shares, bringing its total pledged shares to 21,148,014, or 4.84% of the total share capital. Prior to this, Diwakar Finvest held 20,648,014 encumbered shares, or 4.73% of the total share capital, out of its 98,794,786 shares (22.63% of total share capital) in Emami.

Similarly, Suraj Finvest Private Limited, another promoter, created an encumbrance of 500,000 shares on December 16, 2025. This action increased their total encumbered shares to 5,861,992, which constitutes 1.34% of the total share capital. Suraj Finvest held 5,361,992 encumbered shares (1.23% of total share capital) from their total holding of 105,630,326 shares (24.20% of total share capital) before this transaction. Both instances of share pledges were made as per agreements with the lender, Bajaj Finance Limited.
