United Spirits shareholders approve independent director appointment

United Spirits Limited announced the successful approval of Narayan K. Seshadri's appointment as an independent director, following a postal ballot conducted via remote e-voting. The resolution passed with a requisite majority of 97.8877% of valid votes cast in favour, against 2.1123% opposed. A total of 605.3 million votes were cast, with 592.5 million in favour and 12.7 million against.

The remote e-voting period commenced on November 21, 2025, and concluded on December 20, 2025. The company's scrutinizer, Sudhir V. Hulyalkar, submitted the report on the voting results, confirming the resolution's passage on the latter date.

Of the 320,759 eligible members as of the cut-off date of November 7, 2025, a total of 1,501 shareholders participated in the e-voting process. The appointment of Seshadri is for a period of three consecutive years, effective from October 9, 2025, to October 8, 2028.
