Vishnu Prakash R Punglia secures five-year river sand mining lease

Vishnu Prakash R Punglia Ltd. (VPRPL) has finalized a five-year River Sand Mining Lease in Village Kanana, Balotra District, Rajasthan. Obtained through an auction, the lease permits annual mining of 1,54,350 metric tonnes of river sand. VPRPL has deposited the necessary amounts and security with the Mining Engineer, Department of Mines & Geology, Barmer, Government of Rajasthan, for the agreement's execution.

Under the lease, VPRPL will be responsible for the mining and sale of river sand for five years, subject to prescribed annual production ceilings and regulatory compliances. This move aligns with the company's diversification strategy, strengthening its business portfolio across India and supporting sustainable growth in new verticals.
