Vardhman Special Steels appeals penalty for e-way bill error

Vardhman Special Steels Limited announced it received an order on December 15, 2025, from the Superintendent, Central Tax, imposing a penalty of INR 11.56 lac. The penalty stems from a second e-way bill generated by a customer that incorrectly referenced an invoice number issued by Vardhman Special Steels.

The company intends to file an appeal against this order with the Additional Commissioner (Appeals - I), Central Excise & GST, Pune. Vardhman Special Steels has clarified that this penalty order is not expected to have any material impact on its financial, operational, or other activities.

This intimation was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and was signed by Sonam Dhingra, company secretary, on December 20, 2025.
