RITES partners Botswana to modernize transport infrastructure

Gurugram, December 19, 2025 – RITES Ltd., a leading transport infrastructure consultancy, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of the Republic of Botswana. The agreement, with Botswana’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, focuses on developing and modernizing the country’s transport infrastructure to enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability.

Under the MoU, RITES will provide extensive technical expertise for modernizing railway systems, including rolling stock supply, commissioning, repair, and operational support. The collaboration extends to workshops and broader transport infrastructure development projects across railways, highways, bridges, airports, and buildings.

Furthermore, RITES will deliver capacity-building and technical training programs, facilitate knowledge exchange, and offer quality assurance services, including third-party and pre-shipment inspections, along with final acceptance testing. The initiative also involves deploying advanced information technology solutions such as integrated train operations and passenger management systems.
