National Fertilizers appoints Anurag Rohatgi as government nominee director

National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) has appointed Anurag Rohatgi as an additional director (government nominee director) to its board, effective December 19, 2025. This appointment replaces Bharat Bhushan and follows an order from the department of fertilizers, ministry of chemicals & fertilizers, government of India.

Rohatgi's appointment is for a period of three years, or until his superannuation, or co-terminus with his posting in the department of fertilizers, whichever is earliest. Born in September 1970, Rohatgi holds a master's degree in chemistry and brings extensive experience, including directorships at Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Limited and Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL).

Currently, Rohatgi serves as the joint secretary in the department of fertilizers, ministry of chemical & fertilizers. His background includes expertise in international cooperation, fertilizer innovation, P&K fertilizers, non-chemical (organic) fertilizers, and institutional planning.
