Craftsman Automation subsidiary sells aluminum piston business

Craftsman Automation Limited announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sunbeam Lightweighting Solutions Private Limited, has received shareholder approval to sell its aluminum piston manufacturing business. The transaction involves the sale of specific plant, machinery, and related assets to Shriram Pistons & Rings Limited (SPRL) on a piecemeal basis.

The proposed transaction, valued at INR 28 Crores exclusive of applicable GST, will be paid in cash by SPRL. The sale is expected to be completed in two tranches on or before March 31, 2026. SPRL is not a related party to Craftsman Automation, its promoters, or promoter group companies.

The asset sale follows a decision by Sunbeam's Board of Directors. Craftsman Automation informed the National Stock Exchange and BSE Limited of this development on December 19, 2025, in compliance with SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
