Tata Power completes third tranche of Khorlochhu hydro power acquisition

The Tata Power Company Limited announced on December 18, 2025, the completion of the third tranche of its proposed acquisition of a 40% equity stake in Khorlochhu Hydro Power Limited (KHPL). This update follows previous intimations regarding the acquisition dated August 6, 2024, October 28, 2024, July 24, 2025, and November 7, 2025.

The company has now invested ₹64 crore as the third tranche, contributing to a total investment of approximately ₹830 crore. This latest investment corresponds to the subscription of 64,00,000 equity shares of ₹100 each, effectively securing the full 40% of the issued and paid-up equity capital of KHPL. The share purchase agreement was executed between Tata Power, KHPL, and KHPL’s existing shareholder.

This disclosure aligns with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, as amended, and further details specified in SEBI Circular No. SEBI/HO/CFD/PoD2/CIR/P/0155 dated November 11, 2024, remain unchanged from prior disclosures.
