NHPC successfully trials unit 2 at Subansiri Lower HE project

NHPC Limited has reported the successful trial run of Unit #2 (250 MW) of its Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project (2000 MW). The trial was completed on December 18, 2025, for the project located in Assam/Arunachal Pradesh.

This development is for a project with a total capacity of 2000 MW, comprising eight units of 250 MW each. The company has stated that further updates regarding this project will be communicated in due course.
