Maruti Suzuki gets West Bengal GST order for tax credit

Maruti Suzuki India Limited announced on December 18, 2025, that it has received an adjudication order from the West Bengal GST Authority. The order, issued on December 17, 2025, pertains to the period of April 2018 to March 2023 and addresses the availment of GST credit.

The adjudication order includes a tax demand of Rs. 4.33 million and an equal penalty of Rs. 4.33 million. Maruti Suzuki stated that there is no major impact on the company's financial, operational, or other activities.

Maruti Suzuki confirmed its intention to file an appeal against the order with the first appellate authority. The company’s executive officer and company secretary, Sanjeev Grover, signed the intimation.
