Bharti Hexacom appoints Velu as new CFO; Garg resigns

Bharti Hexacom Limited has announced the appointment of Kathikeyan Velu as the new chief financial officer (CFO) and key managerial personnel (KMP), effective January 1, 2026. This appointment was approved by the board of directors on December 18, 2025, following recommendations from the nomination and remuneration committee and audit committee.

The appointment follows the resignation of Akhil Garg from the positions of CFO and KMP, effective December 31, 2025 (closure of working hours). Garg's departure is attributed to an organizational movement within the broader Bharti Group.

Velu is a seasoned telecom finance leader with over two decades of experience, having held various commercial and financial roles across the telecom sector. He holds a master's in business administration (finance) and a bachelor's in engineering, and joined Airtel as a management trainee in 2002.
