Bharti Hexacom appoints Karthikeyan Velu as new CFO; Akhil Garg resigns

Bharti Hexacom Limited, in a board meeting held on December 18, 2025, approved the appointment of Karthikeyan Velu as the new chief financial officer (CFO) and key managerial personnel (KMP), effective January 1, 2026. This appointment follows the recommendation of the nomination and remuneration committee and audit committee.

The company also announced the resignation of Akhil Garg from the positions of chief financial officer and KMP, effective December 31, 2025. Garg's resignation is due to an organizational movement within the broader Bharti Group.

Karthikeyan Velu brings over two decades of experience in telecom finance, having worked across various commercial and revenue assurance roles. His most recent position was group financial controller for Airtel, and he initially joined Airtel as a management trainee in 2002.
