PowerGrid approves Rs 1,226.93 crore Bhadrawati HVDC refurbishment

PowerGrid's board of directors has approved an investment for the "Refurbishment of Bhadrawati (Chandarpur) HVDC (2 X 500 MW) Back-to-Back System Under Additional Capital Expenditure 2024-29 Tariff Block."

The estimated cost for this project is Rs 1,226.93 crore. The implementation schedule for the refurbishment is set for 36 months from the date of the award.

This approval was communicated to both the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited, adhering to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
