NTPC group expands solar capacity with new Khavda project

NTPC Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has declared the commercial operation of the fifth part capacity of 37.925 MW from the 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project. This project, part of the 450 MW Hybrid Tranche V Project in Gujarat, commenced operations on December 18, 2025.

This new addition increases NTPC Green Energy Limited Group’s commercial capacity to 7,889.335 MW. Consequently, the total installed capacity for the NGEL Group will rise to 7,927.26 MW.

Following this development, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC group has reached 85,541 MW, marking a significant expansion in its renewable energy portfolio.
