TCS and CII unveil AI & IP report, new US subsidiaries formed

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) have jointly unveiled the "2025 Artificial Intelligence & IP Report for India," titled "Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property - Navigating Opportunities and Challenges in a Transformative Era." The report highlights a significant surge in AI patent filings in India, with 83,059 patents filed between 2019 and 2025, a substantial increase from the 3,931 patents filed between 2010 and 2018. The study, which surveyed 73 global experts, addresses the evolving IP landscape, challenges faced by MSMEs in IP protection, and governance concerns related to AI.

Concurrently, TCS announced the formation of two new wholly-owned subsidiaries in the USA: TCS North America Corporation and Trident LE LLC, both incorporated on December 15, 2025. These entities, holding company ListEngage MidCo LLC, are designated to provide advisory and AI services, IT and IT-enabled services, and facilitate the acquisition of new business opportunities and investments in these areas.

ListEngage MidCo LLC subscribed to 1,000 shares of common stock at $0.001 par value per share for each new subsidiary, giving it 100% control. These strategic moves underscore TCS's commitment to advancing AI-driven innovation and expanding its global footprint in technology and intellectual property.
