Bayer CropScience fined $1.55m for GST irregularity

Bayer CropScience Limited announced on December 16, 2025, it has received an order from the Office of the Superintendent of Central Tax, Amaravathi CGST Division, Guntur, Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This order imposes a penalty of INR 1.55 million on the company.

The penalty is related to Goods and Services Tax (GST) on Outward Supply pertaining to the financial year 2018-19. The company received the order on December 15, 2025.

Bayer CropScience stated that the order is currently appealable and the company will assess its right to appeal. The disclosure was made pursuant to Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
