Zee Media faces $1.81m copyright claim

Zee Media Corporation Limited has disclosed a pre-institution mediation proceeding initiated by Saumyajit Sen, also known as Ronny Sen, before the Alternative Dispute Redressal Center in Barasat, Kolkata. The dispute concerns the alleged infringement of certain copyrighted material by the company.

According to the notice, the opposing party has claimed damages totaling INR 181,125,000, along with 18% interest. Zee Media, however, states that based on its preliminary assessment, no financial implications are expected from this claim and intends to seek legal counsel to defend the matter. The disclosure was made on December 15, 2025, in compliance with Regulation 30 of the Listing Regulations, 2015.
