TVS Motor Company appoints Kalpana Unadkat as independent director

TVS Motor Company Limited announced the appointment of Kalpana Unadkat as an additional director and non-executive independent director, effective December 15, 2025. This appointment is for a period of five consecutive years, pending approval from shareholders via postal ballot. Unadkat, aged 55, is not related to any existing director of the company and is not debarred from holding a director's office by any regulatory authority.

Unadkat brings over two decades of cross-border legal and governance expertise, having previously served as a senior partner at Khaitan & Co. and co-head of Ashurst's India practice. Her background includes specialisation in cross-border joint ventures, M&As, and corporate governance laws. She currently holds independent director positions on the boards of Avenue Supermarts Ltd, TVS Credit Services Ltd, and Eris Lifesciences Ltd.

The board meeting, which commenced at 10:20 AM (IST) and concluded at 10:55 AM (IST), also included the review of Unadkat’s profile and confirmed compliance with relevant SEBI Listing Regulations. She has received numerous accolades for her contributions, including the Trailblazer, Women Achiever Awards 2023, and Corporate Governance Lawyer for India in 2018 & 2019.
