POWERGRID wins inter-state transmission system project

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) announced on December 15, 2025, that it has been declared the successful bidder for the "Inter-Regional Strengthening between SR Grid and ER Grid" project under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding. The company has received the letter of intent (LoI) for this critical infrastructure development.

The project will be executed on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis. It involves the establishment of 765 kV D/c transmission lines, which will traverse the states of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. The scope of work also includes associated line bays and reactor works at both ends of the transmission lines.

This achievement is in line with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and underscores POWERGRID's role in enhancing India's inter-state power transmission capabilities.
