Utkarsh Small Finance Bank announces leadership appointments and reappointments

Utkarsh Small Finance Bank's board of directors, at a meeting on December 13, 2025, approved the appointment of Suchita Chatterjee as the permanent head – internal audit, effective the same day. Chatterjee previously served as interim head – internal audit and now joins the senior management of the bank. She brings over 20 years of experience in audit functions within the banking sector.

Additionally, the board approved the re-appointment of Ajay Kumar Kapur as an independent director for a second consecutive term of three years. This term will commence on March 2, 2026, and conclude on March 1, 2029, pending shareholder approval. Kapur, an industrial engineering graduate, has a background with Punjab Tractors, Industrial Development Bank of India, and SIDBI, and currently advises the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.

These decisions were made based on recommendations from the nomination and remuneration committee and audit committee.
