Lloyds Engineering Works establishes new defence subsidiary

Lloyds Engineering Works Limited has incorporated "Lloyds Advance Defence Systems Limited" as a wholly owned subsidiary on December 11, 2025. Registered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, this new entity will focus on manufacturing, assembly, integration, testing, maintenance, upgradation, research, design, development, and supply of various defence systems and technologies.

The subsidiary's mandate includes a wide range of activities across land, air, sea, space, and cyber domains. These encompass weapons, surveillance systems, drones, unmanned vehicles, marine equipment, communication systems, radar, sensors, and command-and-control systems. Additionally, the new company will engage in the development and application of advanced technologies such as AI, robotics, machine learning, quantum computing, and cybersecurity for defence and national security.

Lloyds Advance Defence Systems Limited will also undertake consultancy, training, and technology support services, as well as import, export, lease, and sell materials and systems for defence and security technologies. The parent company has a 100% subscription to its paid-up capital.
