Nalco awards major bauxite mining contract to Dilip Buildcon

National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Government of India Enterprise, announced additional information concerning the awarding of a Mine Development and Operation (MDO) contract for its Pottangi Bauxite Mines. The contract, which also includes an Overland Conveyor Corridor (OLCC) and allied facilities, has been awarded to Dilip Buildcon Limited, identified as the L-1 bidder.

This domestic contract outlines a 25-year duration for the MDO operations. The key commercial terms include Base Mining Charges of INR 423.00 per ton. The broad commercial consideration or size of this order is stated as INR 5,032 crore.

The company confirmed that neither the promoter nor promoter group/group companies have any interest in the awarded entity, Dilip Buildcon Limited. Furthermore, the transaction does not fall under related party transactions, according to the announcement.
