Catalyst Trusteeship pledges significant Steel Exchange India shares

Catalyst Trusteeship Limited has disclosed the pledge of 186,155,375 equity shares of Steel Exchange India Ltd (SEIL), representing 14.93% of the total share/voting capital. This action was taken in its capacity as debenture trustee for the benefit of debenture holders of Vizag Profiles Private Limited.

The pledge occurred pursuant to a Debenture Trust Deed executed on December 6, 2025. Before this transaction, Catalyst Trusteeship held no shares or voting rights in SEIL. Following the pledge, the total holding of pledged shares by Catalyst Trusteeship Limited stands at 186,155,375 equity shares.

The equity share capital of SEIL before and after the acquisition remains 1,247,220,542 equity shares of Re.1/- each. The disclosure was made to both the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited on December 9, 2025.
