Cyient Semiconductors, Navitas partner to drive GaN adoption in India

Cyient Semiconductors Private Limited and Navitas Semiconductor Corporation announced a strategic long-term partnership on December 8, 2025, to advance GaN technology in India. This collaboration aims to establish a comprehensive, end-to-end GaN ecosystem within the country, targeting high-voltage, high-power market segments such as AI data centers, electric mobility, performance computing, energy grid infrastructure, and industrial electrification.

The partnership will focus on co-developing GaN products, digital and mixed-signal ICs, GaN-based system modules, and design enablement platforms. It also seeks to build a robust local supply chain and manufacturing ecosystem, supporting the Indian government's "Make in India" initiative. Products will include existing Navitas GaN technologies and new solutions tailored for India's unique market needs, with Cyient Semiconductors working to establish a secure local supply chain to accelerate time-to-market.

This initiative is expected to empower Indian design houses and OEMs by providing locally sourced GaN components and manufacturing support, thereby facilitating faster development cycles and reducing barriers to GaN adoption in India. The collaboration underscores Cyient Semiconductors' commitment to driving semiconductor innovation, localization, and scalability across critical technology sectors.
