Coforge unveils z/TPF Center to modernize transaction systems with AI

Coforge Limited announced on December 8, 2025, the launch of its z/Transaction Processing Facility (z/TPF) Center of Excellence (CoE). Housed within its Advanced Engineering Services unit, the CoE is designed to accelerate the modernization of mission-critical transaction systems in sectors such as financial services, aviation, hospitality, and retail. The CoE will leverage AI-powered tools to enhance modernization speed, reliability, and reduce risk for enterprises.

The z/TPF CoE aims to transition TPF environments into modern, cloud-ready, AI-enabled digital ecosystems. It will integrate AI-enabled engineering and automation to improve real-time authorization, fraud management, and trading systems. For travel and aviation, the CoE will modernize passenger service systems, focusing on global reservation, ticketing, loyalty, and baggage operations.

The CoE offers an integrated suite of capabilities, including up to 80% automated code rationalization for z/TPF, up to 50% database modernization from TPFDF to relational systems, and platform transformation from mainframe to open systems. Coforge's CodeInsightAI, an AI-powered engineering platform, will aid in analyzing complex codebases and extracting business logic to accelerate legacy system transformation.
