RailTel secures significant Ministry of External Affairs order for AI laptops

RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. has received a Letter of Acceptance from the Ministry of External Affairs to act as a project implementing agency. This order involves the procurement and supply of 2,000 AI-enabled laptops, estimated at INR 14,40,41,500.

The order was received on December 5, 2025, with the execution period for this supply and service contract set to conclude by March 4, 2026.

RailTel confirmed that neither its promoters nor group companies have any interest in the entity that awarded the order, and the contract does not fall under related party transactions, ensuring an arm’s length basis for the deal. This announcement was made in compliance with SEBI regulations.
