Orient Green Power enters solar market with new 7 MW project

Orient Green Power Company Limited (OGPL) officially announced its entry into the solar energy segment today, December 5, 2025, with the successful development and installation of a 7 MW AC Solar Power Project. The project, developed by its subsidiary M/s Delta Renewable Energy Private Limited ("DELTA"), is located at Krishnasamudhram Village, Tiruttani Taluk, Tiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu.

This new solar power facility is OGPL's first solar project and is expected to be fully commissioned by the end of today. It will operate under a Group Captive Model, supplying generated power to DELTA's captive shareholders. This expansion significantly broadens OGPL's renewable energy portfolio beyond its existing wind power assets.

This development represents a key milestone for the company as it diversifies its renewable energy footprint.
