ONGC reappoints Arun Kumar Singh as chairman for another year

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) announced the re-employment of Arun Kumar Singh as chairman. The board of directors, in a meeting held on December 5, 2025, approved his re-employment on a contract basis for one year, effective December 7, 2025. This decision aligns with the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas's letter dated December 3, 2025.

Arun Kumar Singh, who assumed the role of chairman and CEO on December 7, 2022, also chairs several ONGC Group companies including ONGC Videsh Limited (OVL) and Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL). He is a gold medallist in mechanical engineering and brings nearly four decades of experience in the oil and gas industry.

The board confirmed that Singh is not debarred from holding office by any SEBI order. His re-employment ensures leadership continuity as the company awaits the assumption of charge by a regular incumbent or further orders.
