LIC announces key leadership appointments, government nominee director

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has re-designated Arindam Das Gupta as executive director (Investment – Front Office) and chief investment officer, key managerial personnel, effective December 5, 2025. This change follows an earlier filing made on December 4, 2025.

In a separate development, the central government has nominated Ms. Shalini Pandit, joint secretary, department of financial services, ministry of finance, as a government nominee director on LIC's board, effective December 3, 2025. Ms. Pandit is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer with extensive experience in various government departments and holds an M.Sc. in Wildlife Science. This appointment replaces Dr. Parshant Kumar Goyal, who ceased to be the government nominee director as of December 3, 2025. Ms. Pandit is not related to any other director of the corporation.
