JTEKT India to boost CVJ production by 50%

JTEKT India Limited has approved a capacity expansion for its Constant Velocity Joint (CVJ) line. The company plans to add approximately 0.4 million units to its existing capacity of 0.8 million units, increasing total capacity by 50%. This expansion aims to capitalize on demand from fast-growing Indian Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

The proposed capacity addition is expected to be completed by August 2027. Currently, JTEKT India’s CVJ line operates at approximately 90% utilization. The investment required for this expansion will be finalized and approved by the board during the framing of the installation capacity.

The company plans to finance this capacity enhancement through a mix of internal accruals and borrowings. This strategic move aligns with JTEKT India’s objective to strengthen its position in the market by catering to increasing customer needs.
