Adani Ports partners Motherson to boost Dighi Port auto exports

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) announced a strategic partnership with Motherson, through its joint venture Samvardhana Motherson Hamakyorex Engineered Logistics Limited (SAMRX), to develop a dedicated facility for auto exports at Dighi Port in Maharashtra. This collaboration aims to position Dighi Port as a key automobile exports terminal, capable of handling 200,000 cars per year, primarily for exporters in the Mumbai to Pune auto belt.

SAMRX will invest in the new RoRo (Roll on and Roll off) terminal, which will feature state-of-the-art infrastructure for end-to-end Finished Vehicle (FV) logistics, including single-window RoRo operations, AI-driven yard optimization, and the fastest OEM evacuation route from Maharashtra's auto belt via NH-66. The terminal will also offer a 1.3 km RoRo-ready jetty for seamless all-weather operations and an EV-ready logistics hub.

This initiative is part of APSEZ's broader strategy to expand its capabilities as India's largest integrated ports and logistics company. Dighi Port's enhanced infrastructure will support India's "Make in India" initiative, facilitating seamless export and import of vehicles for global markets.
