Smiti Holding increases pledged shares in Asian Paints

Smiti Holding and Trading Company Private Limited, a promoter of Asian Paints Limited, has reported the creation of an encumbrance on 3,670,000 shares. This pledge, made on December 1, 2025, in favor of Jio Credit Limited, is for a loan and represents 0.38% of Asian Paints' total share capital.

Following this transaction, Smiti Holding's total encumbered shares have risen to 38,500,000, which now constitutes 4.01% of Asian Paints' total share capital. Prior to this event, Smiti Holding's pledged shares stood at 34,830,000, representing 3.63% of the total share capital.

Smiti Holding and Trading Company Private Limited currently holds 51,767,638 shares, equivalent to 5.40% of Asian Paints' total share capital. The disclosure, dated December 3, 2025, was made in accordance with SEBI (Substantial Acquisition of Shares and Takeovers) Regulations, 2011.
