LIC names Arindam Das Gupta new executive director for investment front office

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has announced the appointment of Arindam Das Gupta as executive director (investment – front office) and senior management personnel (SMP), effective December 04, 2025. Prior to this role, Das Gupta served as the director and chief executive officer of LICHFL Asset Management Company Limited. The appointment is for a term from December 04, 2025, until the date of superannuation or till further order, whichever is earlier.

Das Gupta brings extensive experience to his new position, having joined the corporation in 1990 as an assistant administrative officer. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and is a fellow of the Insurance Institute of India. His career highlights include serving as the chief investment officer of LIC Pension Fund Limited, where he significantly enhanced the performance of multiple schemes. He is recognized for his deep understanding of financial markets and comprehensive experience in investments.

The corporation confirms that Arindam Das Gupta is not related to any other director. This strategic appointment is expected to bolster LIC's investment capabilities and overall financial management.
