Eternal Limited hit with Rs 8.29 crore GST demand, plans appeal

Eternal Limited, previously known as Zomato Limited, announced on December 4, 2025, that it has received an adjudication order from the Deputy Commissioner (ST), State Special Circle-I, Andhra Pradesh. The order, relating to the period of April 2022 to March 2023, confirms a Goods and Services Tax (GST) demand of INR 8,29,46,172. This demand also includes an additional interest of INR 4,63,97,288 and a penalty of INR 82,94,617, with the total amount related to an alleged short payment of output tax.

The company stated its belief in having a strong case on the merits and intends to file an appeal against the order with the appropriate authority. Despite the significant figures, Eternal Limited does not expect any financial impact on the company. The disclosure was made pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
