Reliance subsidiary buys 49% stake in Oval Invincibles

Reliance Strategic Business Ventures Limited (RSBVL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited, has acquired a 49% stake in Oval Invincibles Limited from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for £60,270,000. This partnership with Surrey County Cricket Club means that from 2026, both the men's and women's teams of the Oval Invincibles will be known as MI London.

Oval Invincibles, incorporated on May 10, 2019, has a strong financial performance, with turnovers of £2,331,613 for the year ended January 31, 2025, £2,102,249 for January 31, 2024, and £2,125,194 for January 31, 2023. The team is noted as the most successful in The Hundred's history, securing five titles in five years.

This move expands Mumbai Indians' global footprint to seven teams across five countries, reflecting Reliance's vision to grow cricket worldwide. Reliance Industries Limited reported a consolidated revenue of INR 10,71,174 crore for the year ended March 31, 2025, and is ranked 88th in Fortune's Global 500 list.
