Rail Vikas Nigam wins Southern Railway contract for infrastructure in Salem Division

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance from Southern Railway for a project valued at INR 1,45,34,66,865.48. The contract entails the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of Scott-Connected Traction Sub Stations, including Power Quality Compensating Equipment and associated Switching Posts for 2x25 KV AT Feeding System, SCADA, and Automatic Fault Locator.

This work will span the Jolarpettai Jn. to Salem Jn. section of the Salem Division, supporting the mission of achieving a 3000MT loading target. The project is expected to be completed within 540 days and is part of RVNL's normal business operations.

The company confirmed there is no promoter, promoter group, or group company interest in the entity awarding the contract, and the order does not fall under related party transactions. This announcement was made by Kalpana Dubey, company secretary & compliance officer, on December 3, 2025.
