Refex subsidiary’s wind turbine generator approved for national list

Venwind Refex Power Limited (VRPL), a subsidiary of Refex Industries Limited, announced on December 2, 2025, that its Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) has been added to the Revised List of Models & Manufacturers (RLMM), now known as the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers – ALMM (Wind). This inclusion follows the amended RLMM procedure dated July 31, 2025, issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India.

The included model, GWH182-5.3, features a 183.5-meter rotor diameter and a high-efficiency 5.3 MW drivetrain. This model is type-certified with a validity until February 27, 2028, and ISO 9001:2015 certified until July 20, 2028. VRPL has established a manufacturing facility in Silvassa, Gujarat, to produce this grid-friendly wind turbine.

The RLMM inclusion is crucial as it facilitates state nodal agencies, investors, lenders, and developers by listing type and quality-certified wind turbine models eligible for installation in India. This list aligns with the Guidelines for Development of Onshore Wind Power Projects from October 22, 2016, which mandate type and quality certification by an internationally accredited body, including verification of hub and nacelle assembly/manufacturing facilities in India.
