NRB Bearings forms JV with Unitec for industrial CRBs

NRB Bearings Limited is entering a joint venture with Unitec (Mondial Group), an Italian industrial bearing manufacturer, to enhance its position in industrial cylindrical roller bearings (CRBs). The JV will establish a new manufacturing plant in Uppal, Hyderabad, to produce CRBs for industrial and specific mobility applications. Unitec Group will contribute technical, operational, and engineering expertise, and has committed to repurchasing 20% of the JV Company’s annual production.

NRB Bearings will hold a majority stake of at least 75% in the joint venture, with Unitec Group owning up to 25%, pending regulatory approvals. The JV company will have up to five directors, with three nominated by NRB and one by Unitec. Both companies have agreed not to compete in the manufacture, distribution, or sale of industrial CRBs in India.

Unitec Group will serve as the exclusive selling agent for the JV company’s industrial CRB range in Italy, while NRB will be the exclusive selling agent for the JV company and Unitec Group products in India. This partnership aims to strengthen NRB's technological capabilities and accelerate growth in precision industrial CRBs.
