Gopal Snacks begins commercial production at new Modasa facility

Gopal Snacks Limited (GSL) has successfully initiated commercial production at its new Namkeen manufacturing facility in Modasa, Gujarat, as of December 1, 2025. This follows a successful trial run and marks a crucial step in the company's growth strategy. The Modasa plant will target services for parts of Gujarat (excluding Saurashtra and Kutch), Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra.

The newly operational Namkeen facility adds 63,085 MT of installed capacity, with plans for gradual scaling. This expansion will enable GSL to cater to a nearly full basket of dealer requirements from a single location, addressing previous supply chain hurdles experienced after a fire incident at its Rajkot facility last year.

The Modasa facility will continue manufacturing wafers and snack pellets alongside the new Namkeen production, including products like Gathiya and Namkeen. GSL anticipates that this consolidation will significantly improve order service times, increase dealer order value, and enhance order frequency, strengthening its manufacturing capabilities and ensuring a steady supply of high-demand products.
