Bartronics India expands into Agri-Tech and Health-Tech markets

Bartronics India Limited's Board of Directors, in a meeting on December 1, 2025, approved a strategic venture into Agri-Tech and Health-Tech. The Agri-Tech division, operating under "Project AVIO – Unified Rural Platform," aims to build India's largest rural operating system. This initiative includes a phased rollout of Agri-Tech offerings, digital onboarding of up to 20 million farmers, and establishing 1,000 Smart Agri Stores across rural India. The company targets facilitating transactions with a Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) of $1 bn through rural commerce and agri-input sales.

The Agri-Tech plan focuses on creating a multi-layer rural technology ecosystem integrating financial services, agriculture, rural commerce, and climate-linked solutions. This expansion seeks to capture a $12 bn opportunity in the Indian Agri-Tech market, encompassing Agri Credit & Insurance, Carbon Credits & Climate Services, and Rural Commerce & Output Marketplaces.

Additionally, Bartronics India will strategically enter the Health-Tech division, to be operated through a separate subsidiary. This move targets the high-growth molecular diagnostics market, notably through a partnership with Huwel Lifesciences, to capture opportunities in the multi-thousand crore TB diagnostics market. The company projects securing orders worth approximately 120 crores through this new subsidiary.
