Apollo Tyres appoints two independent directors

Apollo Tyres Ltd. announced the appointment of Mr. Rajendra Chitale and Mr. Tapan Mitra as independent directors. These appointments, recommended by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and approved by the board of directors, are subject to shareholder consent through postal ballot. Both appointments are effective from February 9, 2026, for a period of three years.

Mr. Chitale is a chartered accountant and law graduate, serving as managing partner of M. P. Chitale & Co. He has extensive experience with regulatory and governmental committees, including those of SEBI and IRDAI. Mr. Mitra brings 40 years of experience in human resources, having held leadership roles at various manufacturing companies, including as chief human resources at Apollo Tyres Ltd before retiring in 2015. Neither director is debarred from holding office by SEBI or any other authority.
