HDFC Bank names Vibhash Naik chief human resources officer

HDFC Bank Limited approved the appointment of Vibhash Naik as its chief human resource officer (CHRO), effective February 1, 2026. This decision was made based on the recommendations of the Governance, Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Naik will also serve as a senior management personnel of the bank.

Naik brings over 25 years of experience in various HR domains, including talent management and HR technology. He previously held the position of chief human resources officer at HDFC Life Insurance Company Limited, where he oversaw human resources, learning and development, and corporate administration. His tenure at HDFC Life spanned 14 years, during which he was instrumental in developing a technology-enabled people ecosystem.

Prior to HDFC Life, Naik held diverse roles at several organizations, including Lehman Brothers, Religare Macquarie Wealth Management, Tata Interactive, and Atos Origin, where he designed and implemented transformative HR practices. He holds a master's degree in labour studies from the University of Mumbai.
