Sequent Scientific to rebrand as Viyash Scientific Limited

Sequent Scientific Limited has announced that its board of directors, via a circular resolution on November 27, 2025, has approved changing the company's name to “Viyash Scientific Limited.” This change is contingent upon the effectiveness of a composite scheme of amalgamation involving Sequent Scientific and several other entities, including Viyash Life Sciences Private Limited and Sequent Research Limited, as well as approval from shareholders and regulatory authorities.

The proposed name change follows a name reservation letter from CRC dated November 17, 2025, and will result in consequential alterations to the company's Memorandum and Articles of Association. Furthermore, the main object clause of the Memorandum of Association will be updated to align the objects of the merging entities, allowing for an expanded scope of business activities.

The revised object clause broadens the company's operations to include manufacturing, processing, and dealing in various pharmaceutical ingredients, formulations, and life science products, as well as engaging in contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) activities. It also covers cosmetic and medicinal preparations, surgical appliances, and services like research, testing, and regulatory consultancy in India and abroad.
