SAP taps TCS for five-year IT transformation with cloud, generative AI

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has secured a five-year deal with SAP to drive an enterprise-wide cloud and generative AI transformation of SAP's IT landscape. This collaboration builds on a two-decade partnership, with TCS focusing on streamlining SAP's complex IT environment to enable seamless operations, strengthen AI capabilities, and accelerate innovation. The initiative aims to deliver faster development cycles, reduce total cost of ownership, and align IT more closely with business goals.

The engagement includes the establishment of four strategic centers of excellence (CoE) focusing on generative AI, business technology platform, business data cloud, and customer experience. These CoEs will integrate GenAI capabilities into SAP business processes, facilitate next-gen feature development, create uniform data architecture, and identify modern customer experience strategies.

TCS will support SAP in delivering critical services for the end-to-end lifecycle of IT applications using a unified, efficient, and AI-powered model. This partnership is expected to unlock new revenue streams, accelerate business growth, and deliver differentiated experiences for enterprises and their customers globally.
